My Story
Pokey is a 7 year old lab mix (slight hound features) who was stolen from Coal Valley Road, Weir, Kansas on Tuesday, November 27th between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
We believe he was taken via the following route from his home: West on Coal Valley Road two miles west then North Across 400 Highway, East on Country Club Road to 69 HWY which was taken North to Atkinson and Broadway area in Pittsburg. If you recall seeing a large black dog in a vehicle on this route the morning of November 27th please call or text us a complete description of what you saw and the location of your sighting.
We have confirmed he was driven to the Pittsburg Area -North side of town after his abduction on the 27th.
He could be anywhere so please keep your eye out for anyone who has recently required a new dog or someone who has an unusually amount of dogs on their property. Pokey weighed 100 lbs when he was stolen and should be noticable due to his large size.
Pokey is a very social and loving dog who was rescued as a puppy when he and four brothers and sisters were abandoned. We found homes for all the puppie and kept Pokey for ourselves (he was our favorite). His name Pokey stems from the fact that he was always lagging behind his brothers and sisters.
Pokey lived on a 80 acre farm outside Weir, Kansas until Tuesday, November 27th. He had plenty of room to roam and spent the day playing with his best friends Buddy and PInto.
Since Pokey's dissapearnance Buddy has been visibly depressed and does not play with his toys. He misses Pokey very much.
Pinto, the cat, was brought to the farm as a kitten. Pokey "mothered" the kitten and to this day they remain the best of friends. Pinto looks for Pokey daily and does not understand why he is not here to play with her in the mornings .
Pokey is a very loved dog and we have been very sad since his dissapearance. He has never experienced anything but happiness and kindness from people.

Box 305, Weir, Kansas 66781. IF YOU ARE AWARE OF THIS AND NOT REPORTING IT YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM AND NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE TODAY & HELP STOP THIS PRACTICE.
We will NOT STOP looking for Pokey until he is found and the individual(s) who stole him (unless they return him soon) are prosecuted. We have an entire team dedicated full time to the search and are obtaining new leads every day.
